Keeping business expenses organized doesn't require expensive software when you're a freelancer, small business owner, or just tracking personal spending categories. This tool lets you log expenses with a description, amount, category, date, and notes, then view running totals and export everything to a CSV file that opens directly in Excel or Google Sheets for further work or handing off to an accountant.
All your data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage, meaning it stays on your device between visits, but is never transmitted anywhere.
Where is my expense data stored?
Entirely in your browser's local storage on this device. It isn't sent to any server, and it will persist between visits unless you clear your browser data or use the "Clear All" button.
Will my data sync across different devices or browsers?
No — since it's stored locally rather than in an account, expenses logged on one device or browser won't appear on another. Export to CSV regularly if you need a backup.
Can I edit an expense after adding it?
Currently you can delete an entry and re-add it with corrected details, rather than editing in place.
